At the beginning of the shoot, Daniel did not want to sleep at all. He was curious about things that were happening around him. After a little secret trick he went asleep and eventually let me take pictures that would remind to his parents and himself how little and cute he was. Here are few photos to share with you 🙂
It was a lovely day out in Markeaton Park with Jenny and her family. I would like to note that Jenny prepared two great outfits for the shoot, not only for kids but also for both parents. It was a good decision to choose Markeaton Park – at the end of the shoot Bethany got very excited and forgot about everything for a while at the playground whilst Joshua had a nap.
At the beginning of the shoot Bethany was shy and careful with a ‘suspicious photographer’ but then we became friends so that she even allowed me to help her change her dress and hairpin 🙂 Joshua was great as well he gave lots of smiles to me 🙂
The photos in this blog are from the 2nd photo session of Maxim’s First Birthday boutique baby shoot (see the previous shoot here).
This time my little model was even more cheerful. He has been fine almost whole section although at the end became a bit a rebellion. The theme I chose was in dark green ish colour, with a beautifully made woolen cap, shorts and a bow tie. Hope you’ll like the result, these boutique baby photos, as well as I do 🙂
At his previous newborn shoot and Six Plus shoot, Maxim was doing very well; that was easy to photograph him as he would lie or sit where you put him. And here we go, a boutique baby First Birthday shoot when he is much more mobile. How are going to photograph him?
Well, I must admit this shoot was a challenging one. At the age of one and a bit, Maxim would crawl pretty fast across the studio. However, having quite few new and unexplored yet toys, he got interested giving me opportunity to take a few shots.
I like the ‘retro’ style. For the shoot I git an old wooden train toy and a classical rocking horse. It looks like my little model enjoyed as well, you can tell it from his happy face and smile on the photographs below.
Following last year’s success, I’m pleased to say about winning of three wedding photography awards in the this year’s annual East Midlands regional photography competition organised by The Master Photographers Association, a society for professional photographers.
In the 2013 competition which took place a week ago, I became a winner of Licentiate Wedding, Licentiate Portrait, Portrait under 5s; Some photos were given status Merit or took 2nd or 3rd places in other categories, such as Wedding Classic. I’m glad to become an award winning baby photographer again.
I would like to thank everyone who chose us to be their wedding or portrait photographer! Without you, the pictures would not be as they are!

You may remember the newborn photos of this lad that I posted about eight months ago (Maxim’s newborn shoot). Here are the images from the next shoot, a six plus shoot, one of the boutique baby photography shoots by Elen Studio Photography.
This time, Maxim is around 8 months old, but what is important, he is able to sit unaided. He could not sit down by himself, of course, but once you position him, he is allright to sit and wonder around. And this is exactly what happened during this shoot.
All the props were bought especially for this shoot: the suite, the wooden suitcases and special children’s guitar. The guitar was important as his daddy plays guitar and I wanted to reflect this in the pictures. Who knows, may be this will make him a musician in the future?
The age of this little boy on the photos is just 7 days. During this newborn photo shoot taken at my studio at Derby, Maxim must have been dreaming with some nice sweet dreams, just look at his happy smile on the top photo 🙂 At other pictures, he would allow me to pose him as wished, even agreed to sit in a little basket – this one is one of my favourite 🙂
At this shoot I’ve decided to choose two colour themes, brown and green, with the use of knitted hats. I think the colours suited Maxim very well. What do you think? Give me your thoughts.
The family photo shoot of Rachel, Colin and their lovely kids Emma and Sam, we decided to organise in Markeaton Park in Derby. The kids were in excellent mood, running around with endless energy and curiosity to things happening around. Although intially we planned more pictures of the family together, we soon realised that it is not easy to bring kids together and make them still (not to mention looking in the direction of the camera 🙂 ).
Anyway, we are very pleased about the result – natural and lovely family lifestyle photographs. Many thanks to Rachel and Colin for excellent preparation and to Emma and Sam for being so good during the shoot!

Hello everyone
It has been a long gap in our posts due to business with our web site improvements, wedding exhibitions, photoshoots and other things. Now we are going to come back to regular posting of our recent pictures.
Today is just a quick note to say that one of our wedding pictures has become a 1st place winner at an SWPP weekly competition.
This was a very interesting photo shoot. Children always require a special approach and this shoot was not an exception – both girls were different and we had to be quick so that capture their instantly changing emotions. Many thanks to Elena who invited us to photograph her niece and goddaughter – we had great time and lots of fun with these lovely kids.
