Here are some rainbow themed Cake Smash photos of Mr I, from his Cake Smash session some time ago. We’ve decided to make it as colourful as possible, with mostly rainbow colours.
As usually, we started the shoot from taking few pictures with some props, like a wooden suitcase (a very popular item among my little models ). Then he played a little bit with a toy train as well and letters O, N and E. At the end Mr I put on a bright red-yellow-green-blue bow tie, for few more photos and to smash the cake which was made to order to match the theme. He certainly enjoyed the cake, especially the chocolate part of it
The shoot went very well, everyone had fun, including little Mr I. I hope the pictures will bring a smile at your face
Mr J likes toy horses. So we thought why not to have a cowboy cake smash photo session? I immediately contacted my bespoke cake partner and ordered the cake with a little horse and a cowboy on the top. That was a new idea for my cake smash photo shoots and I was keen to see the result.
Mr J, dressed in scarf, checked shirt and jeans looked like a real cowboy! First, he had a ride on a rocking horse. Then he played with balloons a little bit. He was very curious about the cake, looked at the characters first and only then smashed the cake to pieces It looks like Mr J had fun that day!
Thank you to Mr J’s mum and dad for dressing him so well!
These photos of a cake smash baby boy are the last in the First Year Plan boutique baby photography shoots for Oliver.
It’s always interesting to see how children grow and change. I remember photographing him being a little newborn baby (Newborn pictures). Then saw him when he just learned how to sit at his Six Plus photo session. This time, my job was even more difficult as he could crawl
Oliver likes dinosaurs so his parents decided to make this a theme. The cake was made to support this theme too – with a little green dino on the top. Something else made this photo shoot to be a very special – a large soft toy dinosaur which was Oliver’s 1st Birthday present made by his mum. I found an elegant set of brown shorts and a cap for him among my baby outfits so we decided the overall colour scheme to be brown-green. We started from simple head shots with a Union Jack box, then invited his dino. At the end of the shoot Oliver got the cake to smash and to play with.
That was a fun shoot, with lots of laugh and surprises. I really enjoyed, Oliver and his parents had fun too!
Today I’ve got for you a new set of pictures from a recent Cake Smash photo shoot.
At the beginning of the session Mr B was a serious little boy, wondering around and trying to understand what’s going on. Then I gave him a box of tools which he then decided to use to explore the cake At the end Mr B was brave enough to get into the cake not only with his hands and feet to have full experience
The theme, background and colour scheme for the shoot was chosen to match his bedroom at home. He loves cartoon animals so the cake was designed with the animal characters on side and top.
I hope you will enjoy the pictures of this little Cake Smash boy the same way as I do
I’m very excited to say that the second year in row I have won the MPA East Midlands competition in Portrait of under 5s category and proud to be an award winning baby photographer 2014. This follows the success of last year’s competition.
Master Photographers Association, UK organisation of professional photographers, hold its annual East Midlands awards competition every year. This year I took a part with some of my favourite newborn and baby photographs and some wedding fashion shots. Apart from the three of my photographs that became the winners, two other images had an award of excellence and five had merit recognitions.
I’d like to say thank you to all my little models and their parents, as well as to the wedding couples and models, for giving me this opportunity to create beautiful artistic pictures and to everyone supporting me through this year.
Here are the winning baby photographs and those marked as merit or award of excellence.
Also, this year have won Contemporary wedding and Fashion, which you can look through in the ESP wedding photography blog.
Finally I’ve found time to come back to our blog. Sorry that we had a big gap since last post. Lots of things are going on, lots of exciting news! But today I would like to share with you photos from Scarlett’s session taken by your cake smash photographer in Derby
I love photograph cake smashes This is a real FUN for the 1 year old little ones!
As a boutique baby photographer I always try to prepare the cake and all decorations to be special and unique for each baby shoot. So we’ve used cream, blue and red colours for Scarlett to match her room decor She was absolutely perfect model! We had lots fun! What do you think?
The ‘Cake Smash’ shoot is a stylish boutique baby photo shoot of a 1 year old baby around his 1st birthday. The idea is for the baby to have fun by literally smashing a 1st Birthday Cake, to create mess and get lots of smiles and joy from making a mess. This is ‘what it is all about’
So, I think, Maxim took the most of it during his Cake Smash shoot! He was quite amused about presence of the cake and lots of decorations around. The he was surprised that he is allowed to make a mess with the cake. Once he realised what it is about, he smashed the cake very quickly, I just needed to keep pressing the button to take pictures
The cake used in the shoot is a real cake ordered from a cake shop and styled to the shoot theme which was about sea and ships. It’s great subject for any boy, isn’t it?
The photos in this blog are from the 2nd photo session of Maxim’s First Birthday boutique baby shoot (see the previous shoot here).
This time my little model was even more cheerful. He has been fine almost whole section although at the end became a bit a rebellion. The theme I chose was in dark green ish colour, with a beautifully made woolen cap, shorts and a bow tie. Hope you’ll like the result, these boutique baby photos, as well as I do
At his previous newborn shoot and Six Plus shoot, Maxim was doing very well; that was easy to photograph him as he would lie or sit where you put him. And here we go, a boutique baby First Birthday shoot when he is much more mobile. How are going to photograph him?
Well, I must admit this shoot was a challenging one. At the age of one and a bit, Maxim would crawl pretty fast across the studio. However, having quite few new and unexplored yet toys, he got interested giving me opportunity to take a few shots.
I like the ‘retro’ style. For the shoot I git an old wooden train toy and a classical rocking horse. It looks like my little model enjoyed as well, you can tell it from his happy face and smile on the photographs below.
